CHEAP THRILLS

There is just no competition when it comes to thrift stores. The old ladies at the church sale can’t be beat. Last weekend I was home and on a mission to find a cheap frame to make a jewelry organizer. If you know me you know I have no patience. When I want something done, I want to do it RIGHT NOW. So off I went to the salvation army. Unfortunately they lacked in the vintage treasure department¬† but I did get a few things for me. I wanted a cheap decent looking over the shoulder carry-on for when I go to California in February but I wasn’t looking to buy anything new. This 4$ baby will be good enough for my carry-on items without being a pain in the ass to lug around. The 4$ price tag makes up for the uninteresting look of it. Where is a bedazzler when you need one?

Another thing I found at decent prices [4-6$] were long sleeved casual shirts which are an item I sadly lacked in my wardrobe. A good haul but just can’t compare to my church finds (like HERE and HERE)

AND very disappointing – the salvation army has a new rule: no tag, no sale. If an item has no price tag, it goes back to be sorted. This means the amazing Simon Chang skirt that fit me like a dream WENT BACK INTO SORTING. I should have made them an offer they couldn’t refuse… 20$. You win some, you lose some.

  1. How about finding an amazeballs dress priced $10 (literally. thrifting ain’t super cheap here anymore!) and then finding ANOTHER tag in the sleeve for $2. I brought it to the little old ladies attention and she told me the $10 price stood as it was consigned.
    You know what?
I waited til it went 20% and went back and bought it for $8.
    Because I had too.
